A lot has been already said and a lot has been written about this beautiful city called ‘Dilli’ or the so called ‘Delhi’. The two contrasting names of the city have the whole essence of the city both traditional (dilli) with a tinge of modernity (delhi) added to it. I loved Delhi for the two concocting cultures. If one starts exploring Delhi then I guess a lifetime wouldn’t be sufficient because Delhi has this inherent habit of adding new feathers to its hat.<\/span><\/p>\n

If I talk about eating joints because that is where I start from you have everything from ‘Roshan Ki Kulfi’ at Karol Bagh or ‘Chacha ke Choley Bhature’ at Kamla Nagar or ‘Paranthe wali’ gali from Chandni Chowk. The street foods of Delhi are something to explore and it has a wide cut to offer like Hauz Khaz village where you will get an array of delectable Indian cuisine from Pakistan and Italy. A food lover will never leave the place for sure and I can say it with surety because being a food lover myself I haven’t left the city and I don’t even intend to do it sometime later.<\/span><\/p>\n\"\"\n

For people who have an inherent love for history can go and visit Qutub Minar or Humayun’s tomb or everybody’s favourite India Gate where you can simply go for a long walk sometime in the late evening. I have a personal liking for Purana Qila because the moment I sit there my heart is at peace and the architectural beauty is something which will keep you jaw dropped. As far as the complete tour of Delhi is concerned you can even hire a HOHO bus but I would rather suggest that the beauty of Delhi can be best unfolded by a peaceful walk. <\/span><\/p>\n

If you breathe shopping then dilli has a lane of junk jewellery called Janpath where you will find good home décor and junk jewellery is something which it is known for. If you go to Sarojini Nagar or Lajpat nagar you will find the latest trend of Delhi at a very nominal price. Even the M-Block market has a good collection of apparels and clothing. If you have come so far for shopping then you should also try the famous and authentic ‘Paan’ from ‘Prince Paanwala’. If you really want to see the colorful side of Dilli then you can also go to Dilli Haat at INA where you will find a display of handicrafts by the villagers living nearby.<\/span><\/p>\n

Delhi has a little bit for everybody so for those who don’t intend to take much risk then Delhi has all the prominent brands be it in clothing or food joints starting from Levis, Marks and Spencer, Zara, Pramod to KFC, Mc Donald’s, Pizza Hut and Domino’s too. As I said it has little bit for everybody so I think it can never make anybody sad or run out of ideas from them and may be that is the reason why it is often said that it is ‘Dilli dilwalon ki’ <\/span><\/p>\n
