Overview

One of the least explored yet most beautiful region of India is the farthest states in the North Eastern part of India. Sharing borders with 5 countries, these remote frontiers are places of rugged natural beauty, tribal cultures and people, dramatic landscapes and exotic cuisines. North East covers the states of Assam and Meghalaya. Guwahati, the capital of Assam, explore the grasslands and marshes of Kaziranga National Park spotting one horned rhinos, wild buffaloÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s and other animals. Further South West to Dawki on the border with Bangladesh. Rainy Mawlynnong and Cherrapunji, located in the Khasi hills and facing the plains of Bangladesh. Such heavy rainfall gives birth to numerous waterfalls, beautiful streams and the root bridges which are unique to the region. Shillong known as the Scotland of the east, the capital city of Meghalaya and home to the Khasi people.

DAY 1 Guwahati- Kaziranga: (230 Kms/4- 5 Hrs)

Meet and Greet on arrival and drive to Kaziranga which is known as the hub for One Horned Rhinoceros, White winged wood duck (State Bird of Assam) also famous for many endangered species. Kaziranga is also known for highest density of tigers. Enjoy a cultural show in the evening (Bihu/ Jhumur on direct payment). Night, stay in Kaziranga.

DAY 2 Kaziranga -Elephant & Jeep Safari:

Early morning wake up call to get ready for the Elephant Safari. First call at 0530 Hours and second at 0600 Hours. You can select any of the option as per your convenience. After breakfast visit the nearby Tribal Villages and Tea estates. Post lunch you can go for one round of Jeep safari in the Eastern range of Kaziranga. Night, stay in Kaziranga.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Shillong which is capital of Meghalaya- the abode of clouds. You can have a midway halt at Umium Lake. Enjoy the pleasant evening in Shillong. Night, stay in Shillong.

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee â€“ this is a very scenic drive enabling one to see the cloud covered hills and the deep gorges. At Cherrapunjee visit the limestone caves and the waterfalls. You can visit Arwah Caves, Nokalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, Eco Park, and Thangkharang Park. Later drive back to Shillong. Night, stay in Shillong.

After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong (Asiaâ€™s cleanest village).You can also visit Living root bridge, Balancing Rock and Sky View Point. Post lunch (It is suggested to carry packed lunch) visit Dawki, here you can enjoy boating in the crystal clear River Umngot). Later visit the Indo-Bangladesh border and drive back to Shillong. Night, stay in Shillong.

After breakfast visit Wards Lake, Lady Hydri Park and the famous Don Bosco Museum (Closed on Sundays). Later drive back Guwahati. On reaching Guwahati drop off at the Guwahati Railway Station to catch your late evening train for your onward destination.

Cancellation

Rooms are subject to availability. If mentioned hotels are not available then similar category hotels will be provided.
- The quotations are given without holding any confirmed reservations either in the airlines or in the hotels.
- Once the quotation is accepted by the guest and advance amount is deposited either in cheque /Cash/Credit Card, the booking is processed at our end. In case we are unable to get the confirmation, then the deposited amount shall be refunded to the guest. Once given confirmation, full and final payment should be made either in cash or cheque at the time, all the travel documents are delivered to the guest.
- For the packages, which are booked under our Airline Group Packages the airline tickets might be delivered 2 days before the departure of the group.
- Base category rooms will be booked in Hotels until and unless specified in the quotation. In case the rooms are not available in selected hotel, rooms shall be booked in similar or higher category hotel.
- For any cancellation (if no explicit cancellation policy is specified in quotation) we charge Rs.1000 per person as service charge in addition to the cancellation policy of booked airline and booked hotel.
- Any date amendments in the air tickets will be considered as cancellation only and new tickets are issued under new applicable fare at the time of issuance of ticket and cancellation charges are applicable for the cancelled tickets as per airline policy.
- Any amendments in the date or itinerary are to be intimated to us in writing and amended confirmation depends on the availability of given hotels on requested dates. Cancellation policy shall be applicable in such case.
- In a tour package, no refund shall be made for unutilized services. It is on guestÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s discretion whether to take service or not.
- Please carry your valid Identity proof card (passport in case of International travel) containing your photograph, as it is required at the airport and during check in at hotels.
- The check-in and check-out time of most of the hotels is between 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM and number of meals including breakfast is always corresponding to the no. of nights booked by the guest. The hotel does not provide breakfast on the day of arrival.
- For early check in and late check outs, payments are to be settled directly by the guest at the hotel.
- Cost does not include Expenses caused by factors beyond our control like rail/flight/vehicle delays and cancellations due to road blockage, vehicle malfunctioning, strikes, natural calamity, political disturbance etc. and it will be borne/settled by client only. Pack N Go Holidays will neither be responsible and nor bear these expenses. No refund shall be made for unutilized services.
- It is always advised to follow the travel itinerary. If for any reason travelers deviate from Itinerary, travelers shall be responsible for any extra expenses incurred on travelling, hotel, sightseeing etc. No refund shall be made for un-utilized services.
